MinZhKH is deliberately delaying solving the problem of autonomous heating

Ministry of Housing has decided to put solution of the autonomous heating problem "in pocket", even though more than a third of the inhabitans of Ukrainian cities are waiting for the permit for the installation of individual heating systems in selected apartments»,- said the head of ATCU Vitaly Yakovenko.

According to him, such a conclusion can be made if we see work of the Ministry for the past three months. Officials could not continue to take refuge in silence and ignore the problem so to «cool» the question in may they organized a round table. As a result, the Ministry was to develop a new regulatory framework for the possibility of installing individual heating.

Despite the fact that at this meeting the head of department Alexey Kucherenko expressed his negative attitude to the individual  heating, the Ministry, through the Deputy Minister of Housing Helena Gavriljuk announced a new draft decree on the disconnect from the system of centralized heating and hot water. ATCU and other organizations have made their proposals for necessary changes, but to date the Ministry had not only failed to respond to them, it still has not developed its own project for the discussion of experts.

«It seems that the department officials are not interested in either the comfort of people, nor their right to an alternative in the choice of heating.  Multibillion but unrealistic projects that rise from the Ministry of consistently to create the illusion of importance are more interesting for them. But they don't have enough time or desire for significant and important changes for the benefit of the people», - said Vitaly Yakovenko.
